Patapata's inspiring story shows us that perseverance and faith are capable of overcoming any obstacle. Five years ago, in Guaranda, we received a shocking call with videos showing a dog that had lost both legs from eating chickens.

Despite hunger, desperation, cold and abandonment, Patapata managed to survive until we arrived and were able to save her. Over time, he learned to walk on two legs, thus demonstrating his bravery and desire to live. Patapata is an example of improvement that inspires us to move forward despite adversity.

Currently, Gunder resides in our sanctuary in the beautiful Valle de los Chillos, in Pinta, where he shares his routine with brave rescuers. It has become an inspiring example of self-improvement, showing that it is worth fighting for every furry child in difficult situations.
